Councillors, officers help clean trading premises |

Councillors and staff members of the Public Health and Enforcement Section of Sarikei District Council (SDC) did extra work in the afternoon of two previous Saturdays. They led hawkers at the council's trading premises to clean up. A senior health officer, Wong Sie Mee, said they had to get themselves involved or else the job would never be done. As indiscriminate littering had become a hard-core culture of many people, it took great pain to discard and strong leadership plus law enforcement was needed to get them to change for the better. |
