The title "Majlis Daerah Sarikei - Sarikei District Council" is drawn using Time Tribune Font Littering. Its slenderness and pointed edges gives a gentle character to the Council when dealing with her affairs.
The wording crowns at the highest place in the logo design. This signifies the governing authority of the Council in Sarikei on the socio-economic and development matters in the district e.g. public health, public works, administration, rating/evaluation, enforcement, treasury and libary.
The Council is also represented by the Diamond-shaped background. It is set in the background because the Council works quietly behind the scenes for the betterment of the community in Sarikei. Its diamond shape reflects its integrity, faithfulness, honesty and sincerity in performing its tasks. The Diamond shape is pointed upwards so as to signify the constant striving for quality service to the community of Sarikei. The 16 smaller diamonds represent the faceted roles of the Council.
The Pineapple represents the community of Sarikei and is set at the centre of the Diamond -shaped background. This signifies that the coummunity of Sarikei is right at the heart of the Council pledges to do all it can to ensure the properity of its people. |
